Ring of Fire－ヤンの太陽＆ウィーラセタクンの月 Lunar（夜）で使用されている全音源を収録しています。
サウンドトラックは長年アピチャッポン作品のサウンドを手がけてきた清水宏一氏と Rit 氏（Akritchalerm Kalayanamitr）が「移動」や「旅」の感覚を内包する音の風景を描き出すことを目指し制作されました。
清水氏は、瀬戸内の風景や建築物の繊細な曲線から着想を得て、海・音・光の波が力強く共鳴するさまを音で表現。一方の Rit 氏は、アピチャッポン氏の手描きスケッチに描かれた影や複雑な形状に、これまでのコラボレーションと通じるモチーフを見出し、過去と現在の記憶を織り交ぜるように、過去のアピチャッポン作品で使用した音素材を重ね合わせました。
「またべえ」内の各所に設置されたスピーカーによって構築されるシネマ的なサラウンド音響、そして「ウィーラセタクンの月」セクションで響く照明を駆動するモーターの音、ヤン氏の鈴の音──それら空間の響きを本レコードのために新たにステレオに再構成し、音だけでも作品の空間性や時間のレイヤーを感じ取れるような音響作品となっています。

本村地区の家屋「またべえ」を展示空間として、この場所にあわせて新たに構想・制作された作品を2024年6月21日（金）より公開しました。 ヤン・ヘギュとアピチャッポン・ウィーラセタクンが初めて協働で構想・制作した作品です。「昼」と「夜」で構成された展示では、前者はヤン、後者はウィーラセタクンが加わり、独自の作品世界が展開されています。

Description
This 12-inch vinyl record features the complete soundscapes from Ring of Fire - Solar Yang & Lunar Weerasethakul Lunar (Night). The soundtrack was created by longtime Apichatpong collaborator Hiroichi Shimizu and Rit (Akritchalerm Kalayanamitr), aiming to evoke the visceral sensations of 'movement' and 'journey' through a meticulously crafted world of sound.
While Shimizu translates the delicate curves of the Seto Inland Sea’s landscape into a symphony of waves, sound, and light, Rit identifies recurring motifs in Apichatpong’s hand-drawn sketches of shadows and intricate shapes that resonate with their long history of collaboration. By layering sound elements from their past films, he bridges the memories of the past and the present.
About Ring of Fire - Solar Yang & Lunar Weerasethakul
A new site-specific commission for the local house “Matabe” in the Honmura district. Under the project title Ring of Fire, the entire house is profoundly transformed by the works of Apichatpong Weerasethakul and Haegue Yang, who collaborated to conceptualize time and place. In this house, the cycle of “Day” and “Night” is articulated through the alternating activation of the works.
