直島・本村地区で展開しているRing of Fireーヤンの太陽＆ウィーラセタクンの月の【Solar（昼）】のアーティストであるヤン・ヘギュのオリジナル商品です。
キーリングは作品中のランタンをモチーフにしており、デザインはランタンの上部に飾られている花の部分から発想されています。実際の作品のランタンには和紙と韓紙（ハンジ）で作った花が飾られており、すべて一つひとつ手作りで制作されています。
商品の素材には、水にも強い特殊和紙を使用しており、和紙の柄も今回特別に制作したオリジナルとなっております。デザインおよび制作はニューヨークを拠点に活動しているミリナリーのAYUKO HISHIKAWAが、一点一点ハンドメイドで仕上げています。
チェーンに付けたアクリルパーツは、実際の作品でランタンの支柱に使用されている木製パーツのデータをもとにしています。

DescriptionOriginal broach for 'Ring of Fire – Solar Yang & Lunar Weerasethakul, Solar (Day)'; the piece is inspired by Haegue Yang’s lantern sculpture, 'Mesmerizing Votive Pagoda Lantern - Snow Volcano Ultramundane Flowers.' In the original artwork, the upper part of the lantern is decorated with flowers handcrafted from traditional Japanese washi paper and Korean hanji paper.
The broach feature an original design handmade individually by Ayuko Hishikawa, a millinery designer based in New York and Tokyo. They are crafted from a special, water-resistant washi paper manufactured by Onao (SIWA) in Yamanashi Prefecture, featuring an original print specially designed by the artist for these limited-edition items.
The attached acrylic tag was recreated based on the wooden tag from the original artwork.
